Thames Street Living Room

A "Warm Welcome Space" which is open every Monday from 9.30am until 4pm
(Bank Holiday Mondays 10am-3pm)

The Living Room is a space for the church community as well as a space for those on the fringe or with no connection with church at all. It is a space for all to be welcome. All ages welcome but parents will be responsible for their own children. We are currently using the main Sanctuary as well as the patio outside church (weather permitting!)
Tea, coffee, cake and biscuits are always available along with friendly people to chat to.
We also have jigsaws and board games available and an area with toddler toys for young children.
Each week we join in (via Zoom) the church's midday prayers in the main sanctuary.
Other regular activities include
-
Life Group led by Gale between 2 and 3pm each week
-
Art (e.g. water colours and acrylics) between 2 and 4pm every week
-
Scrabble games from 10am on the 1st Monday of each month
-
Tool cleaning for 'Tools with a Mission' from 2pm on the 2nd Monday of each month
-
Knitting and Crochet group from 2pm on the 3rd Monday of each month
If you have any questions about what we are doing at the Living Room, or you would like to be involved in any way, please see Tricia or Wendy, or email the team on livingroom@wallingfordbaptist.co.uk.
Since September 2019 we have become part of the Places Of Welcome network! Originally developed in Birmingham, Places of Welcome is a growing network of local community groups providing their neighbourhoods with places where all people feel safe to belong, connect and contribute.
